Apprenticeship applications are open

The St. Louis Electrical JATC is accepting applications for the commercial-industrial, telecommunication, and residential programs. A high school diploma or GED and a year of algebra get you in the door. No trade experience required.

Armory data center project wins final approval

The $3 billion Armory Innovation Campus in Midtown St. Louis, anchored by a 120-megawatt data center, cleared its final city approval with a project labor agreement covering more than 1,050 union construction jobs and a $15.75 million community fund. Local 1 electricians will build its power backbone.

Every construction member OSHA-certified

Local 1's entire construction workforce holds OSHA 10-hour safety certification, and more than 70% have completed the OSHA 30-hour course, a safety milestone few workforces anywhere can match.

Powering the EV transition

Through the Electrical Connection, Local 1 electricians trained under the national Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program, which our partnership helped pioneer, are guiding the region's communities on EV charger infrastructure.

Building the community, not just the grid

Local 1 members have donated $1.3 million in labor to Habitat for Humanity builds, rewired more than 500 homes ($950,000 in donated work) for Rebuilding Together St. Louis, and given $85,000 to Shop With A Cop.
